Lots of Freesias racing to burst into bloom in a glorious tangled mess. They are much earlier than usual as we’ve had a very warm January. This time last year none were open.

A solitary daffodil, snowdrops, hellebores, viburnum….., lots of buds everywhere! Looking forward to spring!

4 daffodils suddenly overnight! (In the West Country)

I have an area in the woody part of the garden with a patch of cyclamen Coum and snowdrops which is just beginning its annual show. It is so pretty.

All i can see in the garden are snowdrops. I have very large window boxes on the front with various colours of cyclamen.

Witch Hazel and snowdrops are in bloom in our garden.

winter flowering honeysuckle, mahonia, winter flowering iris, winter flowering cherry, forsythia, snowdrops, christmas roses, the odd rose, cherry plum tree, outdoor cyclamen, various camellias The secret to stopping bud drop in camellias is to keep them well watered when the buds form in july/august. I learned this from Alan Titchmarsh many years ago.

A little patch of early snowdrops, primroses, dwarf iris, a few cyclamen and lovely viburnum bodnantense Dawn, which has been flowering since about October and will go through to April. I have sarcococca in bloom but it has no scent at all (which is really disappointing). Hellebore flower buds peeping through (I need to cut out the old foliage).

I'm in Durham. Some of you must be much further south..

Japanese quince , Viburnum Bodnantense , Camellias and yellow winter flowering Jasmine and Hellebore are all lovely at the moment .

One of my camellias is in flower, the other has loads of buds.
One always flowers earlier than the other, strangely.
Also a few crocuses. And my winter primroses in red, yellow and blue are flowering well in a pot.

I have just heard, then seen a bee on one of my helibores.

I have a pot of cyclamen, which I brought from my previous cottage garden, brightening up my otherwise dull, tiny back yard. How I miss the garden but not the work involved!

My Christmas rose has flowered and my camellia has buds.
We are always later than our English neighbours, when it comes to flowering.

Knitandnatter Tue 30-Jan-24 08:18:05

We have crocus bulbs in full flower, such a delight to see their bright yellow blooms on a gloomy day.

Whitewavemark2 Tue 30-Jan-24 08:14:24

Oh yes winter clematis “freckles” loved by bees - big bumbles.

My prostrate rosemary is in flower, white quince, snowdrops, aconites, primroses, violas (in pots), clematis Jingle Bells and Sarcococca. Also hellebores but I don’t know the variety

Our snowdrops were in bloom - and still are - at the beginning of December

Aldom Mon 29-Jan-24 22:34:56

I forgot the orange and dark blue winter pansies.

lixy Mon 29-Jan-24 22:29:43

My hellebores niger, also known as the Christmas rose, is also in flower in a very sheltered space in the front garden. I have snowdrops, primulas, cyclamen and winter flowering pansies too.
The other things I have in flower now are shrubs so outside your remit.
I'm in the East Midlands, UK

Yellow jasmine, hellebores, bulbs poking through the soil, snowdrops, polyanthus all in flower. Lots of buds on the camellias too. Lifts your mood seeing them all once more.

lixy Mon 29-Jan-24 22:23:14

My Japanese quince is in a big pot and I trim it regularly so hasn't grown too large. It is just coming in to flower now - deep red blooms, yellow fruit in the Autumn.

Coolgran65 Mon 29-Jan-24 22:18:22

My large Camellia is full of buds about to open. No other blooms but lots of evergreens.

MissAdventure Mon 29-Jan-24 21:44:15

My plants have gone to pot... pardon the pun.
I don't know if I'll restart anything this year.
Probably just some lovely tomatoes.

We have 4 or 5 different hellebores, the masonic is fabulous as are the Batchelors Buttons. We has 2 daphnia that are about to flower and a winter box by the front door. We have a clematis, snowdrops and a very brave penstemon.

The rosemary is showing signs of flowering too.
