A visitor to our garden tonight...

Oooh yes, lizzypopbottle, keep Charlie well away. Our, eat everything in sight dog, picked up a toad one day in her mouth and we had to take her to the vet for a shot of atropine. It makes their heart beat faster and she went pop-eyed. Scary.

Hope you manage to safeguard both toad and dog. I used to have both toads and frogs but had to do away with the pond so now don’t see either.

Joseann and teabagwoman Charlie has always ignored wildlife visitors. We've had hedgehogs visiting in the past that our other dogs have been very curious about but Charlie doesn't seem to notice them. If the toad comes back I'll be vigilant when I take Charlie outside. Thanks for the warning Joseann. Oddly enough we've never had a pond, teabagwoman.
