Constant garden machinery noise from neighbour

Find a hammer and something to hammer in. Whenever the noise disturbs you get the hammer out. It worked for me during Covid when my neighbours drove me mad!

An hour or two every afternoon (doesn't it ever rain near you?) is not "constant".

At least it's not a blasted radio.

I sympathise.
I have neighbours who are exactly like this. He has every noisy garden tool available and an extremely dictatorial wife who finds him endless jobs to do. Both retired; they are out every single day, he working and she correcting what he has done. It is only a small garden mainly laid to gravel and immaculate; I sweat they polish it. She mainly sits under the garden umbrella slap against the fence and by my patio where I catch the sun and has one of those irritating nervous coughs that you cannot help waiting for.
I am planning a book called 'Murders in the Garden' and selecting the murder weapon.

Perhaps they are catching up after the endless rain of the last few months. The garden may have been somewhat neglected by the previous quiet neighbours.

Pray for rain!

How long have they been doing this?
Are they remodeling the garden?

Annoying but not sure you can do a lot about it. I expect if you relax you will focus on it less.

Noise cancelling headphones and patience. There is a limit to what they can strim, mow or cut down so it can’t go on forever, but at present our lawn needs cutting twice a week. We do however have a quiet battery powered mower, though you might think it ‘noisy’.

Our neighbours are extremely garden proud. Every 1/2 days they are out there with noisy machinery.

Lawn mower, Strimmer,Leaf blower, chainsaw.

Every 1/2 days always in the afternoon annd it continues for a couple of hours at least. What they find to mow etc I don’t know. Even Sundays are not excluded. One is retired and the other one works part time.
We are always careful when we use our machines, and do try to stick to hand tools as much as possible.( cheaper than the Gym 😄)

We had many years of peace here before they arrived.
We did approach them politely, but got short shift.

Please..any suggestions apart from moving?
