After they have flowered let them die back and dry out. Then you can plant them outside in early Autumn.

Put them in a cool light place and the shoots will soon green up. Make sure the compost is damp but not soggy. When the shoots turn green and the flower heads start to appear place them in whichever room you want them in. They should be fine.

OPPs just realised you say they are already in a pot! They should green up ok with some light and a drink.

I would still plant them with the shoots below the soil- in fact I have done just last week in a big pot and they are already showing up through the soil! They will soon grow some roots once they are in the ground/soil. If you leave them till next year the bulbs might just shrivel up and be useless. Take a chance on getting some pretty blooms n a couple of months time.
