I have 3 plants of this vegetable, grown from seed of mixed colours. It is one of the few things that I have kept watered so it is quite rampant and covered with dozens of flowers. However, I have harvested one solitary squash and all the remaining flowers appear to be female. Is it something I am doing wrong or just the luck of the draw?
I love these flying saucer-shaped veg. They are firmer than courgettes and lovely sliced and roasted with a sprinkling of Parmesan.
