Home pride flour graders grade every grain
Because graded grains make finer flour.

The graders were dressed in black and wore bowler hats like little businessmen. I had a salt and pepper set; they were very popular.

What we want is Watneys

Baubles - You have reminded me how I loved Clarnico caramels. They were iced in pink and white.

Ana Thu 25-Jul-13 18:32:08

kittylester, we had those baskets for DS as well! They were all the rage, you had to have one, but you're so right - nothing fitted in them properly...

We used to thread the daffodils into the weave of our gondola baskets. We insisted on gondola baskets for domestic science despite the fact that nothing fitted in to them and we had to carry the basket and the food home separately!

Was there something about free 3D glasses or such like with Weetabix?
I seem to recall ' you can get your viewer from Weetabix, it'll only cost you one and six'........

AlieOxon Thu 25-Jul-13 15:09:48

We used to get cards between the Shredded Wheat, way back when I lived in Welwyn Garden City and I knew it was made there.............I think they were things to cut out.

Ana Thu 25-Jul-13 14:42:00

Yes - and we used to collect the plastic soldiers they gave away with Kellog's Cornflakes!

'I'm Prudence Potts the pot inspector,
Prudence Potts the spot detector...'

Don't remember what that was advertising, though.

KatyK Thu 25-Jul-13 14:37:01

These are all flooding into my head now - I think I need to find something to do. Anyone remember Handy Andy household cleaner -

Handy Andy, strong little gentleman
cleans your whole house easier than
a whole lot of other cleaners can

Anyone else remember when Fairy Snow (I think it was) washing powder used to give free plastic daffodils and tulips with their packs? We loved them as kids.

feetle grin
I'm sure a sailor would 'hanker' after more than a cigarette.

For the flavour of an Anchor
So much satisfaction!"
