Yes, I have an update. My sister has offered to get me a sub for Xmas.... and apart from possible Irish records, this site now has a lot of Irish and British newspapers up to 1953.

I am just hoping that their searches are for more than ONE word......

How would genealogists go about family planning?

Forward planning - would my parents have expected this for me - no, but I think they would be pleased!

Backward planning? Maybe I could arrange for my distant forebears to have been rather more illustrious people?!!

Or - back down to earth - maybe they just meant gynaecologists?
