Other childrens books ?

Did you ever meet one called 'the Secret of Pooduck Island?' American - my dad brought it back when he went on a business trip in 1946-7.
Lovely story of a squirrel family, intertwined with the problems of a young boy who didn't fit in!
My sister recently got me the exact same edition as a present.

I don't remember that one, Alie and I thought I'd read just about everything when I was that age! Sounds intriguing. In retrospect, I was such a bookworm that I don't know how I got any homework done.

I don't think he ever got together with anyone, or even in! It was a very strange book I read at school when I was about 9 or 10, a sort of fantasy....it has stuck in my mind.

Good heavens! Did they share him ? Scope for a sort of 50 Shades there!
Or was it like Little Women where any males were just "friends"
