In Australia those records are free anyway. Not so in the UK, for some reason.

I am finding it very interesting with the free access to the newspapers of the time. I have found quite a few family members mentioned, some good, some bad.

Just tried this. It seems very difficult!

No sensible results for my dad's military records!
I'm obviously doing something wrong!

Ancestry.co.uk is also offering limited access. The military records
I'm now going to check out mine.
