I reported as well earlier as regards this O'P and the poster and GNHQ said well people are responding, but this time I really think it's pointing to someone doing surveys of some kind. Ie ready to publish an article on GNs and this topic.

Do you mean me? I am merely stating things that happened and were said in the years before, roughly 1925.

Of course no one would think and say these things now but you cannot edit the past to meet modern sensibilities.

Stereotypes, are stereotypes and we have them still and these are the stereotypes of the early years of the last century.

Once, as Italian, but it was a chat-up line.

My mother said that, as a child, people would assume she was gypsy or Jewish. She had brown black tightly curly hair with uite full lips. She was in fact Irish, and looked like illustrations of an Irish 'colleen' on postcards and in sentimental books.

I've been mistaken for French ,Italian,Russian and Turkish especially the last two .
It doesn't bother me .
I'm used to it.

I laugh when people ask where my parents came from.
They also say ,you speak English really well.
Can you write it too ?
My hair used to be dark brown now it's dyed dark red .
My skin is as white as a sheet . It burns in the sun .
My eyes are grey /green .
I'd let my hair go white if people didn't think that it makes me look ill .
I use bronzer on my skin .
If I want a tan - fake is better .

I'd describe my ethnicity as British .
My mother's family are Welsh .
My father's family might be of Huguenot descent ,but we aren't that certain.
