WOOT - Here it is, our very own shed ( Thanks GSHQ), real posh one too, no more old doors etc. it may be small on the outside but, inside, WOW, it's a tardis, plenty of room for everyone.
However it's a bit bare atm, contributions to make it homely greatly appreciated. BUT remember it's Granddads' shed, no chintz please.

Hope to see you all from time to time.

Every year, we say we mustn't do it, but here we go again - heading away for 2/3 weeks during the busiest period in the garden. Greenhouse is full to bursting with bedding and baskets, but it is still too risky to put them out this week. By the time we get back most plants will have grown larger than I would like. I have risked sowing beans under fleece, they should be ok as long as the mice don't get them before they germinate. Next year we will NOT go away during May.

Should be knitting! Hard day at the tribunal face!

jeni Mon 14-May-12 19:09:20

Circular hitting I've got three and they're BB.

pompa Mon 14-May-12 18:40:45

Anyone got a knitting pattern for a tea cosy, using a pair of size HB pencils ?

soop Mon 14-May-12 18:30:46

As we near the close of yet another perfect day spent wasting enjoying time talking twaddle as some GNs do...I have to admit that I'm beyond confused And if ignorance is whatever...I'm in a state of unadulterated bliss. grin Off to attend to matters domestic. Bye for now.grin

jack! gringrin

jack Mon 14-May-12 17:38:36

Are you bald Pompa? Or just cold? Could I suggest that you keep your pants on and invest in a tea cosy for your head. As for the pencils, do be careful you don't end up with lead poisoning in your vital orifices. Besides, you should be using them for the crossword. Oh dear. You have so much to learn.

As for you jeni, I'm sorry the nose job went so badly wrong!

jeni Mon 14-May-12 17:14:40

No not me then, I've got 3 pencils, one in each nostril!

pompa Mon 14-May-12 17:05:52

Pompa sits in the corner gently rocking with his underpants on his head and two pencils stuck up his nostrils.

jeni Mon 14-May-12 17:03:07

pompa are you me? As I don't know who I am some days, perhaps that's my problem?

jack Mon 14-May-12 16:56:34

Well that would be lovely ... wink

pompa Mon 14-May-12 16:54:40

I've lost all track of who I am !!

Anagram Mon 14-May-12 16:52:12

PS It's not pompa, is it? grin

Anagram Mon 14-May-12 16:51:08

I think everyone's talking at cross-purposes here! I think jeni was referring to your male friend, jack. And I was wondering how it would take us ages to work out who your DH is unless he was using a female pseudonym! confused

pompa Mon 14-May-12 16:29:00

I was going to return to the shed, I was starting to get things in perspective again.
BUT.
Is Jack an man or woman ? is Jack's DH Jill ? To top that, it appears that Jack, who I had decided was probably a woman, could be a Dutchman. confused.

Think I'll crawl back in my hole and try again later, perhaps this was all a bad dream. grin

jack Mon 14-May-12 16:21:09

No soop. He's a man. And jeni, if he doesn't know what I'm like after 44 years then I'm a Dutchman! blush

soop Mon 14-May-12 12:50:47

jack is it jill ? grin

jeni Sun 13-May-12 19:43:04

Perhaps it's as well ! He'd find out what you're really like!

Anagram Sun 13-May-12 19:26:45

Yikes! confused

jack Sun 13-May-12 19:21:25

One of my dearest male friends won't join Gransnet because the name is "sexist". So perhaps there should be a Popsnet, or something similar.

But, I am pleased to say, DH is a member. But it'll take you ages to work out who he is! smile

soop Fri 11-May-12 12:44:00

Pompa...you are very dear to us smile

Pete Thu 10-May-12 20:57:43

Beer will be chilled, ready for your return....

whenim64 Thu 10-May-12 20:29:58
