Grandkids Nicknames?

Took early retirement last year when my daughter was widowed, but yes jangly, I was the strictest teacher in my school. (In my own defence I have to say that at the end of each first term - once rules had been firmly established - I was also the most popular teacher.)

Most school nicknames I've come across are far from cute.

I had to type "confused" for that emoticon. That's my usual state!

My granddaughters get their given names by me but Daddy calls them Chumpy and Boo Boo

My grandchildren all have lovely names - and they're always called by them.

I've got several different nicknames for both of my grandsons. They seem to go along with it.

They are very patient with their granny.

Why do you need nicknames? surely the best name for any child is its given name
