How clever babies really are

You know when you say your baby grandchild recognises you after a gap of several weeks, and other adults look at you as if you are a deluded old bat?
These studies show that they really are very clever by 5-6 months - even understanding the emotional moods of dogs shock
So of course they remember their Nana. grin

I'm not a bit surprised by this. Both my grandsons have seemed very bright from a very young age and the newer one seems very communicative. By the time he was a couple of weeks old he had a particular cry that very definitely meant "No! That is Absolutely not what I want you to do!!" quite different from the general tired, hungry, bored crying.
