Here I am, up at the crack of dawn to take my DD in for an elective c-section. She has to report at 7.15 (along with at least two other ladies that she met at the pre-op on Thursday). So we don't know what time she'll be meeting her little one, but hopefully sooner today rather than later.
I will keep you posted. SO EXCITED!!! grin

Sorry for taking so long! Indigo Jemimah Edith was born at 13.36 weighing in at 8lbs 9.5oz. Needless to say she is absolutely beautiful smile. My daughter is beyond ecstatic. No photos yet cos they're on my camera and I'm still at the hospital. Watch this space!

Funny isn't - how the prospect of a new baby arriving gets one on tenterhooks? Even when we don't actually 'know' the family. I expect it just hooks in to emotions that we grannies know so well - I can't help feeling excited. smile
I'm taking a young friend out to dinner this evening to celebrate her 20 week scan - when she'll find out whether she's expecting a girl or a boy. Her husband is working abroad so she's living with us for a few weeks and her mum has come down from Scotland to accompany her to the scan; so exciting.

Exciting, Ashtree. Perhaps by now you have met your new GC. You're going to need a reviving brew!

How marvellous. I didn't get to welcome any of my grandchildren to the world. One was born in hospital, the rest were home births. All born while I was working.
