Thanks for your lovely words ladies.Will no doubt be back as things progress.I was very calm and unworried through all my pregnancies - but found myself thinking of all sorts of what if scenarios when it comes to DD.

DD had a similar, though not identical sadness at her first 12 week scan for a much wanted baby 15 months ago so we were very tense to say the least (well actually I was a wreck) almost exactly a year later when she was due to have her next 12 week scan. All was well, but I empathise with your grief at the time.
