My grandsons were both very proud of their back packs.

The little toddler found big brothers bag and was pulling at the front door to go out wearing it so he proudly walked up and down the road with me.

We always but their first lunchbox, taking them to choose it as a special outing. It's not much but they all remember the day.

There are some lovely books about starting school

www.booktrust.org.uk/books/children/booklists/236/ or a lovely book of poems or stories that she will enjoy having read to her?

A Personalised bag, lunch box, water bottle?
A photo book with photographs of her first day?

Hi all, my gorgeous granddaughter will be 4 in November and is starting proper nursery school in a couple of weeks. She lives 200 miles away, so we see her and her lovely almost 1 year old brother usually once a month. Although she has been going to pre-school for a year, I feel proper nursery with uniform and all, is such a big milestone for her, I would like to give her something as a momentum of this special stage. But, I am stumped for ideas.! Thought of an upmarket "scrap book" for first writing and pictures etc. Some personalised pencils- probably to keep at home rather than take to school.
I would be so grateful if any one out there has any ideas,
Thank you!
