My nine year old GD told me that yesterday at school she drank seven bottles of water, I think this is too much for a child,thats over one an hour.Am I wrong to be concerned?

If she is really that thirsty then she could possibly be type 1 diabetic and should see a doctor as soon as possible. If it was a one off, then maybe she'd eaten something dalty.

Might she be exaggerating? If you or her parents keep an eye on her and notice that she is in fact drinking a lot, it should be investigated.

Excessive thirst is one symptom of diabetes and should be investigated.
