My DD seems to have lost her sense of humour since having kids too. She's also turned into a bit of a worrier. She was much more relaxed a few years ago. I hope she gets back to her old self as they get older but I don't think she will. I'm much more laid back than

Perhaps they feel they should take life seriously? My son is much more aware of the environment, is a vegetarian,supports endangered animals and donates to charities on our behalf at Christmas. My daughter is so wise and is an excellent wife,mother and friend. I'm sure they lighten up with friends.

I'd agree with that . I do know they lack seeing humour in everyday situations as I tend to . Life taken way too seriously !

I am late fifties and have three thirty something children. If anything I would say their views are more uptight than mine.

Is it me or is the gap wider with regard to attitudes than its been between previous generations ? At nearly 60, I'm finding everything I believe in is opposite to my '30 something' children !
