My son had the tip of his finger reattached in Spain as a child. The hospital was fantastic! Try to relax.

Thank you everyone. If I wasn’t so far away I would feel more relaxed.
I am having a couple of glasses of wine wine
I am going round to DD’s tomorrow to pop some milk and bread in for their return on Sunday so that’ll keep me busy for a couple of hours

Both my late mother and Aunt lived in Spain ( different locations) and found the hospitals exemplary. Of course they had private medical insurance, but th buildings and staff were for everyone.

My son broke his arm in Tenerife about 14 years ago, he was fine, a looser cast for flying back.
I’m sure it’ll all be ok.

My young GS needed life saving surgery in Spain his treatment was exemplary and they were wonderful at all times. I hope all goes well with the surgery 🌻

Flaxseed

Please do something that will distract you - he seems to be in good hands

Soon he is back home

The treatment has been fast and efficient so far. But my stomach is in knots. He’s so precious (and I know I am in good company here saying that!)

I can feel your stress from here.
I will pray that everything works out ok.

flowers We had daughter, on ski trip with us, in hospital with a broken bone, in Germany. So hard to stay calm. Thinking of you.

I would imagine the hospitals are just fine. In 2018 on a coach we were driven past a new hospital in Majorca and told it was probably the best hospital in Europe - state of the art facilities and admin. I was very envious.

So difficult to be far away when you'd normally be helping out.
I guess you'll be busy when they get back so try to get in some rest so your are ready and strong.
Thinking of you.

I can only say that a decade ago my husband ended up in hospital in Spain (Barcelona) and I cannot fault the care that he received in any way.

My daughter, her DP and my 2 DGS are currently on holiday in Tenerife. Thankfully they are with her in laws, BIL & SIL
Yesterday the boys were all kicking a ball about and it came towards DGS (age 5) where he reached out to stop it with his hand, fracturing his wrist. sad
At first DD thought it was just sprained as there was no obvious malformation but they took him to the hospital today where an X-ray confirmed a fracture. He is currently in a cast awaiting surgery to manipulate it back into position tomorrow.
It’s been awful today as DD has been upset and I am so far away sad, she’s had to liaise with the insurance company and get stuff taxied from the resort to the hospital.
I work in a hospital and am convinced they won’t look after him properly hmm
(nothing to indicate this - it’s just me panicking)
He’ll be nil by mouth from midnight and I am just praying he gets done first thing tomorrow.

Honestly, I can’t believe how stressed I feel. I just need to offload
