Do you want catered or self-catering, busy or rural and quiet? Coast or country?
Saundersfoot, Tenby or Gower are lovely for a short break with a variety of accommodation from b&b, caravans, cottages or good hotels with last-minute deals.
If you are a member of the National Trust, Somerset has some lovely places to visit; we stayed centrally not far from Montacute and there are several others properties in the area.
Sorry Grandmummy, but I don't live in either area but will be watching this thread and hopefully some other GNetters will offer you some recommendations.
Hi grannies 🤗 It's my birthday next weekend. I want to go away for 4 nights, but can't believe how expensive uk has gotten. It's been an expensive year with second grandchild born & my daughters wedding, so just wondered if anyone here knows of a reasonably priced short break in Somerset or South Wales? Open to anything, just need to get away! Thanks for your consideration 🙏
