Another 👍 for Halfords. I once had to get a car seat fitted for a last minute emergency - I had literally hours to get it bought and fitted, and Halfords were brilliant.

Yes, unfortunately! Perhaps I'm wrong about the year.

I haven't done it debbie but I have retrofitted seat belts and know it can be done.
I have also googled 2008 Vauxhall Agila - are you 100% certain you don't have them?

Thank you, NotSpaghetti.

You can retrospectively fit isofix to cars if you want to.
I think I'd price this option up first.

Definitely Halfords.

Thank you so much for your help, everyone. Really useful! Going to have this sorted by the weekend and then...well...toddler groups, soft play, here we come!

When my grandchildren were that age I used the car seats from their parents car. They’d done thorough research before choosing them and it made sense to just transfer the seats over to my car when I had the children.

Although your car might not be compatible with isofix fittings most car seats can also be fitted securely using your car seat belts.

Google the very best car seat you can find, then get the seller to fix it into your car.

Halfords would be a good start, but buy the safest seat you can.

I think you would be best to go to somewhere like Halfords and have the seat professionally fitted - it isn't something to be messed about with as the childs safety depends on it functioning correctly.

Try Halfords for advice.

PS Meant '19-month old grand daughter'.

Hi

I have a Vauxhall Agila. 2008. It doesn't have the 'holes' that modern car seats fix into.

I so much want to be able to take my 19-month old out in my car.

Can anyone advise on a suitable car seat? Would be really grateful for help. Thanks!
