I have had two recent rants, first a group of eight family members children through to grandparents visit a tourist city on Easter Monday, I am not exaggerating, there was not one toilet that wasn’t beyond disgusting, and they were 50p, money well spent if they’re decent, but there were groups outside of all of them, people unable to use them, really disgusting, and the stench unbelievable.
Then a visit to a local NT property, now I know I’m probably going to rustle some feathers, but I am sick to death of peoples dogs coming up to me, or getting under my feet, you could hardly move for dogs, we started a game, spot the couple/family without a dog, you had to be sharp eyed to spot one.
I don’t hate dogs, just fed up with them coming up to us, and the owners actually thinking we might like it!
That’s me done for now

Things that make me absolutely furious!
(101 Posts)I think a thread where we can vent about things that really infuriate us would be good. They can be as silly or as serious as you like.
Sometimes, I get really angry at something I have seen on tv, or something that as happened to me, but I can’t find a proper hook to hang it on. Anybody else think this is good idea?
People on tv saying the word "drawing" as "drawring"
I rarely get absolutely furious about things . I get irritated by certain things . But life’s too short to get antsy by things , you can’t change. , I did join a litter picking group a few years ago when the litter everywhere made me furious.

Nope - but the poster asked about things that make you angry - not a list of what makes you happy - a much bigger list.
But happy to add Kenny Everett to a list of people who made me angry
Silverbrooks, I’m entirely with you. Life’s too short - especially at our age - to waste energy and raise our blood pressure over things about which we can do nothing. Watch things like the London Marathon instead; all those great people running for something good including about 10000 youngsters in the childrens marathon who must have great parents encouraging them to join in. There is hope …
All of the above and builders who take advantage and don’t do a good job.
Parents I see you in stores letting their toddlers pick out just one thing of sweets which I think is a horrible way to parent-Poor diet- poor habits all of the things that are not wonderful to start a child off with. And secrets I don’t like secrets I think they’re lethal.
And let me mention family members who won’t be honest with one another but just put a smile on their face and act like everything‘s OK when it isn’t
And today’s politics when lying cheating stealing is the norm-all done in the name of what’s good for the people lol yeah right
And I agree about the compost my plants haven’t done well and especially the flowers is that what’s wrong is it bad compost???
What's irritating me at the moment is so trivial that I'm ashamed to mention it but I will. It's well spoken people on tv that say Haitch instead of Aitch, and also using v or f sounds instead of th. I know certain accents use such pronunciations and it's ok then but when they are well spoken it just grates on me.

Yes - ask GNHQ to change it ….
If I knew how to, I would! Didn’t realise it was the wrong thread and still don’t understand why!
*Farage and his Reform Voters who clearly admire Trump and his methods
*People who still think Tories can deliver after 14 years and 5 Prime Ministers who failed to deliver and left a chaotic mess
*People who sniff (use a tissue!)
*People who cough without covering their mouth
*People who eat loudly in the theatre/cinema
*People who neglect their properties/gardens while being perfectly capable of maintaining them
*Loud shouty people
*People in allocated 'quiet' train carriages who are not 'quiet'
*When hedges and trees are allowed to obscure road signs
*People who use age as an excuse for bad behaviour or bad manners
*People who insist on driving well beyond their capability (get a taxi!)
*Dog owners who allow their pets to jump up on other people, bark incessantly and let them mess the local environment.
*Descendants of migrants moaning about migrants
*endless adverts for gambling
*reality TV that showcases inane and vulgar behaviour
*the fact that so many female singers feel they need to be half dressed to get attention
*the promotion of fillers, Botox and implants
Same here, no point in ranting it doesn't do anyone any good.
Agree with a lot of the serious stuff posted. My particular irritant, which I can't seem to come to grips with and which really drives me up the wall, is the use of "font" rather than "typeface"when referring to lettering style
A typeface is the actual name of the lettering design, eg Arial, while a font is a modification or adaptation to the original typeface, eg Arial bold.
Not life threatening but the misuse of it really grates and of course I see it everywhere online nowadays.
Bra adverts for "seniors" demonstrated by a lovely firm young thing
Dramas which show characters messaging on their phones - am I supposed to be able to read the messages?
I’ve played the scene back and frozen the screen before now to read what it says!
Young people staring at their mobile phones with widgets in their ears taking all the accessible seats on the bus and not noticing when a person with a walking stick gets on and has nowhere to sit.
Someone leaning across me when I am at the counter buying something and insisting the shop assistant serve them first (because they are so important and sooo busy, unlike me).
Parent allowing a toddler on a scooter to ride up and down the narrow aisles of a bookshop so parent can browse but no-one else can. Shop assistant just smiled indulgently. It's a bookshop, not a playground...
Cyclists who ignore a red traffic light and just ride across the pedestrian crossing narrowly missing the people trying to cross and who at that moment have the right of way.
In general, a lack of consideration for others and an 'anything goes if I feel like it' attitude.
I also relate to many of the other comments.
Blue badge misuse…… definitely lights our fuses! Husband and myself both have a blue badge hence the car often has one or two scooters in it. If we’re forced into using a non-disabled parking space it can make access extremely awkward. I have been known to leave a note on a windscreen!

Sarnia*- why do you Wang to know the names of young offenders?
I took it her wanting them named and shamed. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Basically, yes. Why all this protection for those who take another person's life? Nobody has the right to do that.
Parents who get their child out of the car into the road instead of onto the pavement!
Sorry, I was reply ing about hats on tables and can’t delete

People who go on protest marches wearing masks because they are too cowardly to identify themselves.
Yes - but not as bad as wearing it whilst they are eating
People not pulling the flush in public toilets.
My late aunt got angry about a dog pooing in her garden. She began putting it on a shovel and throwing it in the owners garden. I admired her nerve and luckily the pooing stopped!
Seeing this under 'grandparenting' reminds me of the frustration of trying to fold or open fancy pushchairs when my GCs were little! They are in their 20s now, but the feeling has stayed with me!
Drivers that do not use indicators. After fifty years, I still remember ‘ mirror, signal, manoeuvre ‘. Some only do it when they are in the process of turning. It can be dangerous at times.
This morning I took Dad, who is 94 and has vascular dementia, to his local pharmacy for his pre-booked Spring Covid Booster.
We arrived in good time as he was in a co-operative mood when I went to pick him up 🙂
We were told he couldn't have his booster, they had no vaccines left as they'd given them all to walk-in customers yesterday.
No they don't put any aside for people who have pre-booked.
I expressed my "surprise"... 😠
Dad was confused. He struggled back to my car. I tried ringing several other pharmacies to see if we could go there, but they either didn't have any vaccines or they only took appointments booked online.
I can't rebook online for him until tomorrow 🙄
I'm seriously annoyed. But avoided being rude 🤐 😇
