People who use the disabled parking spaces with no blue badge.

I truly don’t think I’ve ever been furious in my life. Perhaps I lack imagination. Or energy. Cross, yes, irritated yes. But that’s about my limit!

Yesterday, as we were waiting to cross the road, a girl flicked a cigarette end out of a car. I really regret not picking it up and putting it back through the car window

Casdon

People who can’t be bothered to park within the lines in car parks and take up two spaces or make it impossible to get out of your car if you park next to them - I always feel like putting a snotty note on their car telling them off.
Wasps. They are around very early this year too.

I’d do it. Good for you, I share your distaste. Selfish so and sos.

I think Skydancer pretty much nailed it. I do spend some time trying NOT to get angry about things - it's easier if you keep off the internet...

Dog poo not picked up and disposed of properly.

Dogs trailed about everywhere with their owners, leave them at home some of the time.

Fly tipping. Take it to the tip, not dump it on the roadside in a country lane.

The need to have a plastic bottle of water on hand the whole time. You won’t expire if you don’t have a sip every few minutes when you’ve popped out to get a loaf of bread.

I also dont like when someone hands me a drink with their fingertips round the rim - eew

Macadia Tue 29-Apr-25 03:02:48

Maybe just me - not furious, but i dont like when people put their hat on the dining table.

People who go on protest marches wearing masks because they are too cowardly to identify themselves.

AIBU threads are often rants.
I find myself answering "Yes" before I've even read them hmmhmm

Skydancer you sound like me, everything you wrote plus people never saying thank you anymore, children behaving badly in public but the parents don't say anything and you daren't, rubbish on TV, I love reading but so many rubbish books now, potholes the size of caverns in local roads, everything you want to do is sold out or overcrowded, modern life is abysmal.

Redhead56 Mon 28-Apr-25 18:55:22

I can't stand crude adverts about panti liners or pads showing wobbly bums not nice at all.
Very fast talking adverts on the radio are pointless irritating and stupid.
I can't stand rudeness especially in shops people walking in front while I am selecting items off a shelf.
Why do a lot of people find it difficult to say excuse me.
People who try their very best to get their trolly to fit you rushing to the till. My response is push all you want but it won't fit me!

Silverbrooks Mon 28-Apr-25 18:51:55

No. People vent and rant on here everyday. What would be different? I doubt you could manage to corral all the ranters in one place although if you could, that would make it easier for those who tire of it to hide just the one thread.

I am rarely infuriated. What’s the point? The person who has infuriated you probably won’t be aware. A thing definitely won’t be. All you do is cause yourself stress and raise your blood pressure.

Allow yourself a moment of irritation and move on - unless it’s something you can change, in which case channel the energy you waste on ranting to do something constructive about it.

I speak freely.

Just saying.

crazyH Mon 28-Apr-25 18:45:23

Yes - ask GNHQ to change it ….

Why not put your thread in CHAT?
Grandparenting doesn't seem the right place for Things that make you absolutely furious. confused

Definitely a good idea. I find myself getting grumpy at life today. There are some TV ads that are crude - no need for it. Everything has been dumbed down in recent years. People’s driving has got worse. Everyone seems to think they have the right to do whatever they like. Many people expect something for nothing. There’s no free speech any more. Many people are just lazy. There’s litter everywhere. The seas are full of plastic. Dogs everywhere I go …. I could go on…

ixion Mon 28-Apr-25 18:18:48

Is this 'Grandparenting' only?

keepingquiet Mon 28-Apr-25 18:17:08

No, I'm feeling quite benign at the moment.

Kate54 Mon 28-Apr-25 18:12:41

Very good idea. At the moment I can’t think of anything but it won’t be long…..

Crossstitchfan Mon 28-Apr-25 18:00:59

I think a thread where we can vent about things that really infuriate us would be good. They can be as silly or as serious as you like.
Sometimes, I get really angry at something I have seen on tv, or something that as happened to me, but I can’t find a proper hook to hang it on. Anybody else think this is good idea?
