I can't stand crude adverts about panti liners or pads showing wobbly bums not nice at all.
Very fast talking adverts on the radio are pointless irritating and stupid.
I can't stand rudeness especially in shops people walking in front while I am selecting items off a shelf.
Why do a lot of people find it difficult to say excuse me.
People who try their very best to get their trolly to fit you rushing to the till. My response is push all you want but it won't fit me!

Well Redhead56 you've used one of my annoying words here: "bum". I'm not a prude but it was just one of the words that I would never have used when I was growing up, I always say bottom. And I don't like "belly". I wouldn't get myself worked up over either of them though, I just have a little internal shudder!

cc are you me? I don’t like either of those words, and would always say ‘pass wind’ rather than ‘f*rt’ ( that’s if I would even discuss such matters at all!)

Another of my annoyances is when people use ‘infer’ when they mean ‘imply’. It’s usually by people who are trying to be clever.

The TV adverts that go on and on for ages about mattress toppers and lawnmowers, etc; I turn the sound off quick as I can as I find them unbearable, other than that, at the age of 64 I just don't have the will or energy, mentally or physically to be 'furious', lol !

I absolutely hate this.
I've refused drinks and asked them to be remade and then given to me holding the handle.

The servers fingers around the rim could have been absolutely anywhere, nose, eye, mouth, dirty water, the list is endless and I do NOT want those germs transferred to the rim of my drinking vessel which is right where my mouth will be as I sip my drink.

I’m cross because I cleared out some of DH’s clothes , took a large sack to the charity shop and they said ‘no donations today Thankyou’.

Yes, my sister took some stuff in last week, nice things, and the assistants took it off her , with the sourest of faces and no thanks.

The advert: Loads of people playing football/baseball, a rap tune on the back of it saying 'Rock on rock off' but actually sounds like 'Eff off', a tin of peach paint kicked over..and what is it advertising ? Lucozade !!!

I try not to get too worked up about things but some things are annoying. Its not possible to buy decent potting mix. Its sort of dry n dusty n full of twigs.
Also afternoon tv is full of funeral insurance ads with jolly people trying to make it a fun thing. I don't like afternoon telly anyway but my DD puts it on for the dog!

I started this thread and I made it clear that people should post about anything that made them furious. I also made it clear that it was not just for grandparents.
May I suggest you read the posts before getting on your high horse?

Could say that about any thread.Plenty of whinging in any of them. We don't have to read it if it annoys us!!

Parents glued to their mobile when they’re with their babies/toddlers, pushing a pram/buggy/eating lunch/at the park - all the while glued to their mobile. It doesn’t infuriate me as such it just saddens me.

Even worse crossing the road, not at the nearby crossing, phone stuck to ear, oblivious to all around

I think this comes from your own granny, my father in law once told me that there were ‘rules’ in those days about ‘no hats on tables, no coats on beds’. It was because of fear of spreading bedbugs, fleas etc.

I loathe going to public loos where the cubicles are a bit narrow and the sanitary bins are so huge that they squash your bum as you sit down. Obviously designed /specified by a man!

I'm well known for being very polite and self controlled,but recently I'm reaching the end of my tether :

I'm sick and tired of being told by men what I can do with my life !
At a party ,
an inebriated man asked me why I was alone and why couldn't I get a man ?
It spoiled what was a very nice occasion.

One of my neighbours repeatedly makes comments about my mother ,whom he found difficult. If she wear alive -she'd be devastated as she used to regularly make lunch for him .
My mother had severe PTSD and was nervous and introverted. The reason why is something that I don't really want to discuss with him . Her first husband abused her .
Then ,
he likes to remind me that I hobble up the road,that my children don't help me and why don't I move?

And at the weekend , I was plagued by another man ,who has asked me to sell or rent my house to him for over 18 months .
I have told him that I have no definite plans to move at the moment.
He plainly thinks that I'm going to him a special price .
Actually if I moved I'd want a good price for my house.
I don't get a special deal in his shop and I've helped his father with his woefully inadequate English everytime he serves and got medical attention for him .
I had to go into shop for essentials and he repeated it yet again.
This time I showed my exasperation and annoyance with him .

And the last straw came yesterday-this time it was the young lady ,who answered the phone at the surgery .
They have made more mistakes about my prescription and she was so angry and shouted at me over it . She actually made fun of my "poshness " !
I have to go to the surgery to collect another prescription and try to get it in another town.
This time I'm making a complaint about her .
I doubt if I'll get anywhere .
I'm changing my surgery to one nearer to my house and hoping that the recommendations are true.

Dropping litter, especially when there is a bin within a few feet
Eating hot food on a bus, the smell is obnoxious
People who block aisles and doorways due to chatting
People who take dogs out on a hot day and don't take water for them

Lies and liars! Any hint of an untruth absolutely makes me furious!

Things I hate: The trend of saying ‘he was sat there’ when it should be ‘ he was sitting there’.

People who can’t be bothered to park within the lines in car parks and take up two spaces or make it impossible to get out of your car if you park next to them - I always feel like putting a snotty note on their car telling them off.
Wasps. They are around very early this year too.

I did put a note - on a white van. The only reason I eventually got out of that particular space was due to the kindness of an agile gentleman who was young enough to clamber across from the passenger seat! My days of doing that are long gone, and it's not a criterion for getting a blue badge

My carer who keeps re arranging my cupboards the way she thinks they should be not for one minute realising they have been done to make things easier for me an 87 years old disabled person. Today it was plates, all in size order, so my dinner plates at the bottom instead of the top, yesterday it was mugs, all stored upside down and my arthritic hands can’t hold them, tomorrow it will be something else I just know it will.

People who say they want something you are either selling or giving away then not turning up.

People who spot a friend in the supermarket and decide to have a 'catch up' while blocking the aisle with their trolley's.

Sadly usually older people who glare at my tall, strapping son when he's seated in accessible seats on public transport.... he's on a cocktail of pain medication and has had a number of surgeries on his spine!

Cruelty to anyone or anything.

People who describe themselves as straight talking or tell you they'll say what they think... usually without being asked and their straight talking is usually just very rude and opinionated.
