Eyesight going? (Funny things misread)

Yes Jacky this happens to me sometimes. It happened just now actually! I was reading the Good Morning thread. Someone mentioned revisiting the hotel they stayed at when their children were young. The poster referred to, what I read as the revolting doors.
I was rather puzzled and reread the sentence. No, the doors are not revolting..... they are revolving.

Sounds like a good topic for a new thread!

Reminds me of when my old Auntie saw a new restaurant as we were out for a drive years ago. "Ooh I have never been to a bisto!". You will probably have to read that carefully to spot her error.

I know what it says but they time I pass I still think "Hairy Barber"!

Driving up the motorway I saw a van that said Flirtation Engineers, I laughed to myself thinking it couldn't be right, I looked again, saw the same thing. Third glance revealed they were Filtration Engineers 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤣🤣

There was a cake shop, when I was a teenager, that had a name you had to say carefully:
The Master Bakers
Well it amused the school boys 🤦🏻

I misread the name of a care home as ‘Heart Break House’ -happy to clarify that it was actually Hill Brook House.

My misreading this afternoon made me laugh out loud. I saw the packets of chicken mince on the supermarket shelf but I replaced the c with a G!

I recently read a post about Trump and an election ... guess what I read it as 😂

I did not misread this, it was a somewhat amusing misprint in the documents for a planning application
"Early years = 53 children, of whom 31 edible for funded places, equivalent to 20 FTE: 20 x £18,187 = £363,740
Primary school = 70 children x £18,187 = £1,273,090
Secondary School = 44 children x £25,253 = £1,111,132

The phrase "I love children, but could not eat a whole one" came to mind <lol>

I misread all the time - so often that I can’t really remember - so my eyes and my memory are failing. There’s no hope for me 😂
