Both in the 1870s on my father's side, one in 1880s and the other early in the 1890s on my mother's.

You're very curious for a new poster, randomgoogleimages!

Everyone seems to answer your questions quite readily though.

My maternal grandmother must have been born around 1890 and m.y grandfather must have been about the same time. My father's mother would have been born around 1870. Idon't know about his father because he died when my father was only 13.

Paternal grandparents 1870s, maternal grandparents 1890s. My father was born in 1899 - I was born when he was 58, my youngest sister was born when he was 68. He had a daughter in 1924 with his first wife who has just died (101), so my half sister. He started a family with my mother in 1941 and went onto have 16 children from that relationship.

You are one of 16?

Mine were probably 1890s, or late 1880s. One GM told me she could remember Queen Victoria dying when she was 6. The church bells were tolling and her father said in a very sombre voice, ‘The Queen is dead!’ - and my granny thought the world must be coming to an end if the Queen was dead!

My parents were born in 1916 and 1918!

My GM remembered Victorias funeral. It's unbelievable really.

My paternal grandfather was born in 1877and my grandmother in 1880. My father’s line has been traced back to 1814 (the year before Waterloo). My Grandfather, my Great grandfather and my Great great grandfather were all named John, until my grandfather named his eldest Albert. My grandfather died in 1947, the year after I was born, so I don’t remember either him or my grandmother.

I know absolutely nothing about my mother’s family other than that they came from Ireland and settled in Manchester.

Three in the 1880s and one in 1890. One died in the 1940s and one in the 1960s- the others both died in the 1970s.
