Hello. Just discovered GN after lurking on MN for a while but thinking maybe I'm a bit too old:/ No GC yet (and DC show no inclination) but do have a one year old great niece so hoping that qualifies me! Took early retirement last year after many years teaching 4/5 year olds, so it's a bit strange not being surrounded by little ones but I am loving all the leisure time and discovering lots of new interests. Looking forward to logging on over morning tea (ideally brought to me in bed by DH!) and finding out what are latest discussion topics.

Welcome mancgirl same birthdate as my DS2 he is now a strapping 34yr old but still my baby boy. enjoy him.

Gransnet - what a great find! So much on here that I could spend hours reading everything! We are grandparents to our first grandchild, a little boy born 5 Feb. We are absolutely besotted and love him so much! Nan and grandpops are ournames which will probably get shortened to pops I expect. Looking forward to finding out all about being grandparents and investigating the many other forum topics that have already caught my eye!
