All ready for business...pull up a chair smile

NanaandGrampy Wed 22-Feb-17 09:49:27

Good Morning all !

Your internet connection would drive me mad soop . Its one of things we have been checking on potential new properties ( what a first world problem eh? ). I have now have a vision of Macs on the roof with coat hanger Grey , raised a smile here this morning !!

The wall hanging is beautiful - what a talent Thatbags !

I love the chair Tizliz , there are certainly some talents around.

Its a busy old day here today , we are prepping for a viewing this evening , which Grampy will handle alone ( in desperation I expect him to have locked them in the cupboard under the stairs until they sign on the dotted line !!)

This afternoon we are picking up Cooper from home and Jackson from school and heading to the gym to swim and then as a treat we are having dinner there before dropping them home . Then I am taking my daughter grocery shopping because its a nightmare with 2 interested little chaps who want to 'help' !!

At least at the gym all the food is healthy disguised as 'normal' food ! So it beats McDs !

Have attached a pic of young Jackson who baked transformer cookies yesterday . He looks pleased with himself.

Have a good day one and all x

Oh to be clever and crafty like some of you lovely lot! I can sometimes take a half decent photo and knock up a cake now and then but that's as good as it gets I'm afraid.
The mention of the goosander made me smile, I was skimming through the posts really quickly earlier on today and thought it was about a "gezunder", otherwise known a a "chanty pot" in my childhood home! grin

callgirl1 Tue 21-Feb-17 21:55:27

Izabella, you set me googling, as I`m ashamed to say that I`d never herd of a goosander, lovely bird.

Soop, hope your buggerations are over for a while. We had another call from "Talktalk" this morning, then another from Eco something or other, asking about my boiler, if it was over 6 years old, I was able to tell her truthfully that I don`t have a boiler at all.

Charleygirl Tue 21-Feb-17 21:13:49

soop that wall hanging is beautiful and Maw I agree, wow for the photo Tizliz is showing, the chair covering, both are works of art and must have taken a long time.

I am going to bed shortly because there are holes in floors and ceilings so I am not really warm but I would imagine that the loft is cosy.

Re the halogen, I can see me keeping it because I cannot get remotely close to it to try it out.

The kitchen shop manager is throwing in sensor lighting for under the cabinets and attached to mains electricity. That is a major bonus especially for my Macular. Maybe not this time but later on when my condition deteriorates it will be a boon.

MawBroon Tue 21-Feb-17 20:35:07

Wow!!

Tizliz Tue 21-Feb-17 20:29:19

Thought I would show you what my sister made for her daughter's 50 birthday, wish I was handy like her

Greyduster Tue 21-Feb-17 20:15:25

But you are brilliant at bringing very poorly dogs back from the brink, jud. What could be better than that?

Judthepud2 Tue 21-Feb-17 18:47:01

Flying through as DGSs have just left and Georgie has settled into her sleepy phase.

Re the video, it is available on Instagram. Instagram is free to download and register on. Great for posting your own photos and videos and not nearly as complex as FB. You can follow me and welcome. My name is the same as on here.

G was much tireder today and not as active but getting up on her feet more regularly. Unfortunately, our floors downstairs are all wood and she tends to do the split grin but remains undaunted. I think her age and preaccident fitness levels are helping her to recover. She is a different dog from last week. Can't wait to see the physio's face on Thursday!

soop that wall hanging that Bags made for you is really beautiful! Jealous! Maybe I could commission her do do one for me when we (hopefully) meet up in Edinburgh in March.

All you talented people! I am rubbish at arts and crafts, and baking, and gardening! ?

soop Tue 21-Feb-17 18:01:51

Lona I nominate you for the auspicious role of the kitcheners resident diplomat. grin

This computer is driving me to drink potty. A friend wishes to 'sit in' with me and browse through a selection of elegant jackets for sale on eBay. I hope that she hasn't anything important planned for what will remain of the day. I've been 'watching' a clutch of jackets that appeal to me of impeccable taste.
I'm hoping that I shall be able to pop in after ironing duties tomorrow morning. If not...I shall send a message courtesy of bags

Good evening all. Thank you for your company. smile moon

Lona Tue 21-Feb-17 17:25:48

Cari if you need a calm oasis for a while you need to bring cake!! you're welcome here wink but don't think you can come in and scoff all the goodies!

Lona Tue 21-Feb-17 17:23:06

Bugger!
NandG I don't understand all the difficult relationships either, but I also thank my lucky stars that my family love me warts and all!

Lona Tue 21-Feb-17 17:20:53

Maw that made me laugh too ?
N&G I don't understand all theo

soop Tue 21-Feb-17 17:18:53

I spent part of the morning in the care home. Throughout my visit, M attempted to stuff custard creams into my mouth. I forgot to mention...I won a bottle of pink Champagne in the Valentine's day draw. I've squirreled it away until we have the family gathering. By which time I shall have forgotten where I put it. No! Not really. Just joking. grin

soop Tue 21-Feb-17 17:14:07

Greyduster If we were trying to run a business on line we would go bankrupt. On a good day...I can handle the slow, nay, near dormant speed of the internet connection. On a bad day...I swear a lot.

soop Tue 21-Feb-17 17:09:58

Bags made me the wall hanging. I love it to bits...

soop Tue 21-Feb-17 17:06:47

callgirl1 When we get such calls, MacSporran says that the man of the house is in prison...and he's 'minding his missus' - wink

Jud I'm envious of those who have seen the video of Georgie. Although I can imagine the scene and with it, your joy.

Nana&G I'm prepared to place a bet on you getting your own way the perfect wall hanging. Bags made me a beautiful patchwork gift which I have hanging on the wall over our bed. I shall look out the photo.

Izabella Go girl! Is there no slowing you down? You deserve the roses. Are goosanders related to the breed of duck (merganser) that makes the calling sound - 'ooooher'?

Charleyg Am I right in thinking that you'll be keeping the halogen wotsit that was bunged unceremoniously into the bin? Or, will you be asking for a replacement? There is so much going on, I'm losing track. It must be my advanced years delicate time of life. wink

Maw Have you told me about your sore toe? If not. Why not? What have you been up to? As my Nana used to say...

NanaandGrampy Tue 21-Feb-17 17:04:03

Bad day Cari ?

Have 2 brownies!!

Greyduster Tue 21-Feb-17 17:02:46

I feel for you soop. I get very frustrated - nay, b****y bad tempered when our internet connection is playing up. Can you try sending McSporran up on the roof with an old wire coat hanger? He might pick up a signal (more likely pneumonia though, so no, perhaps not!).

grannyqueenie GS and I made chocolate banana nut brownies yesterday morning. I'm not sure he's very much help with baking these days, but he will stir things and chop things but drew the line at mashing the bananas. "Too messy!" Anyway, they were delicious, as I'm sure you granddaughters were, and he took all the credit when his dad came for him. I have some left if the kitchen runs out.

CariGransnet (GNHQ) Tue 21-Feb-17 16:42:52

No <huffy>
But a brownie would make it all better <drools a bit>

soop Tue 21-Feb-17 16:36:51

Has anyone offered Cari a comfortable chair, a decent brew and a freshly baked brownie? Good!

soop Tue 21-Feb-17 16:34:20

I'm holding my breath, as the internet connection is very iffy. I don't know what I'd do had I not bags waiting in the wings whenever I need to send you lot a message. Thank you, bags You are a star.

I need to read through the very long list of latest messages. It may take some time.

grannyqueenie Tue 21-Feb-17 16:26:17

Just been making brownies with my 13 year old granddaughter, there's enough to share, so I'll just leave some on the table. Help yourselves!

Greyduster Tue 21-Feb-17 15:54:37

Just my silly SOH, elegran. ?

Elegran Tue 21-Feb-17 15:49:31

greyduster I typed gamesy to start with, then removed the S.

Greyduster Tue 21-Feb-17 15:46:46

I don't know whether I like the idea of Gransnet becoming more gamey, Elegranhmm ??!!
