I expect the Christmas display in John Lewis will be nudging the hot cross buns and Easter eggs off the shelves any day now.
But actually sunset will go on getting later for a week or to yet, so no panic about “winter draw(er)s on yet

I love it Maw this should be up for best post of the day.

Shall I get my Christmas stocking out yet, or am I a tad early do you think ?

Good morning Stevie and everyone. A lovely sunny start here on the NE coast. Just waiting for wash to finish so I can hang it on the line to dry, then off to work (again) yuk.

Morning, everyone. Quick bowl of something healthy (more or less) then out to weed the borders either side of a path and prune back some apple tree branches that keep poking the poor postman in the eye.

It's been very warm here in Nottingham.

I had a busy day, at work - I'm the Manager of a day centre for elderly people. They all had fish and chips from the chip shop, as the cook was not there today. They had Cornettos to follow, then a raffle, and then a singer/guitarist came to entertain them for an hour. After that, tea and cakes. They all went home happy.

I got stuck in traffic, due to a car crash. Instead of 20 minutes to get home, it took me 1 hour and 15 minutes! I pity the poor person who was in the crash, obviously.

I got in to find a letter from HMRC, saying I've paid £391 too much tax, so I'll get a refund. Happy days. Now for a chicken salad and a glass or 3 of wine!
