Great timing in M&S today

I'm having a good day! I went to M&S with DH yesterday to buy a couple of strapless bras for my holidays and some white shorts.
After trying them on at home, the white shorts are the same colour as my cream ones and the bras don't fit so I planned to take them back today without DH as mooching around with him in tow is difficult as he's bored. However, he needed to buy something for DIY so he dropped me off.

After getting my refunds I wandered off and noticed the Up to 50% sale was on. Must have just started today as it wasn't on yesterday. Any how, I picked up two pairs of shorts, a t-shirt, white linen trousers and a summer shirt for DH. There wasn't much in my size ( 12/14) so grabbed them quickly. I phoned DH to tell him to bring a large Sainsburys bag with him into the store. I'm not sure he was as thrilled as I was, but I'm sorted for for summer clothes for a while.

About 15 or 20 years ago I was in a Walmart in Canada mooching around with my best friend. They announced the $1 dollar hour - a few racks of clothes all for a dollar. I bough 2 pairs of pyjamas and a sweatshirt. I still have the sweatshirt! Its shrunk a bit over the years but it's now my hairdresser apparel when I have my highlights done. I figure I won't get too upset if it gets bleach on it. grin

You definitely won today , getting stuff you actually * need* and getting it at reduced price......

I don't do it often but I hate those days when I'm panicked by "Sale.....itis" and end up buying cheap stuff that actually I never wear.

Labradora - I used to have Saleitis but I'm not so bothered now as I mostly sew my clothes. However, shorts can be a pain to fit, so now I buy them mostly. Although I would say I did buy some Hotter sandals online yesterday for my holiday although I have trillions of pairs!
