The Met Office has issued a weather alert for strong winds and heavy rain overnight tonight and into Monday morning for most of the country. Road users should be wary. Often these warnings turn out to be a bit overblown but who knows?
The rain started here (North East Hampshire) a couple of hours ago and it is getting breezy.
I have turned my fairly heavy patio table up-side-down, carefully laid vulnerable potted plants on their sides and brought my mobility scooter indoors from my (hopefully well pegged down) garden shed, just in case. There's not much I can do about my rubbish bins but, where they usually sit, there is not much room to move and nothing important to damage if they blow over.
I dare say my bean poles will go over, down my allotment, but they are about finished anyway.
The advice is to have a torch handy in case of power cuts.
Stay safe everybody.
