Hello Shari and welcome to GN I hope you enjoy chatting with with us all , judging by the timing you're either a poor sleeper or in USA there is a nighttime thread called the ‘3 am crew’ especially for insomniacs or ‘up and downers’

Hi Shari, join in any threads that take your fancy and tell us a bit about yourself.

hallo Shari, welcome to the GN.s where you will find lots of very different people , from all over the place, but very welcoming, and always worth asking for ideas or advice, as there will usually be someone who has been where you are now. I have found them really worth joining and there is much to enjoy with them.

Morning Sharri welcome to GN.

Good morning from Canada smile
Thanks for welcome.
I emigrated in 1968 with my husband who became my ex 20 years later

I see my gif did appear.
I have nerve damaged fingers and too much typing is 'iffy' so quite often I will reply with a pic and yes I do see some interesting topics.

Well I have one daughter and two grandchildren who are now of course adults. Been single for more than 40 years

All for now

I am in Ontario and we are in winter so it is very, very cold and in fact it is just freezing today with more snow expected so I won't be going any where.
Off now for some lunch

My sister is in Ottawa, Ontario. I remember a number of years ago the residents got a Certificate that they had "Survived the snow" after their houses had virtually disappeared under the stuff. Fourteen foot snow drifts, if I remember correctly. I hope it doesn't get that bad for you this winter.

Thanks all for welcome

Snow stopped in my area for now.

Talking about it reminds me of the morning in my first house
when I went to open the front door and all I saw was a wall of snow. Fortunately the side door was a little more protected so we were able to shovel our way out from the inside and the the husband climbed out the bedroom window and worked from the outside.
We had learned in the first year to keep one snow shovel in th house.
I live in apartment building now so no problem for me.

Over the years it seems to me we don't get those huge snowstorms as we did years ago.
