I have my Grandma’s electric carving knife from the ‘70s. The body is orange and cream plastic and it’s made by Moulinex.
I also have MinL’s 70’s Teasmaid in my garage - long story there!

My ma in laws electric knife, it’s over 60 years old. We still use it for carving larger joints or cutting bread. It works perfectly, if getting a bit warm now 😊.

Bukkie

Radio/clock alarm about 30 years old. The friend who bought it for me has sadly died so it's even more precious to me now.

I wish I still had my mom and dads old clock/radio from the 70's.

It sat on top of the refrigerator, and every morning it was the start to our day. Music, the news, always on.

Is it possible to have your old clock/radio repaired, Bukkie?

My ironing board. It was a wedding present 58 years ago.

I totally forgot about my ironing board!

Yes, definitely older than my vacuum!

My Kenwood Chef that I bought for myself in 1991.

Mine is the Creda tumble dryer bought in 1976. Admittedly I don't use it very often and the timer no longer works but otherwise it's as good as new.

Other appliances have come and gone. Our Russell Hobbs kettle and Hoover mixer lasted at least 25 years but finally gave up the ghost.

I do have a food processor that DH won at a golf event 40 years ago and was going to give away because he didn't think I'd want it.😱

It's been in very regular use ever since,

A Kenwood blender that my parents were given in 1950 as a wedding present. Still use it regularly when making soups.

Wow! Now that's deserving of some serious bragging rights! Love it!

Considering how disposable everything is nowadays, it's refreshing to hear stories related to others getting their monies-worth when it comes to appliances.

For me it's my Electrolux vacuum cleaner. 45 years and still going strong!
