My rather old tower fan stopped working this week. Oh no. No shops have any left. You-tube suggested I take it apart and hover out the dust. It worked! It’s better than it has been all summer. Just goes to show we are to quick to chuck stuff away.

I'm not a huge YouTube fan, but it certainly has some useful tips on how to mend things or get them to work. You're quite right, Pleasebenice, we do throw things away too easily.

It’s my go to for fixing things.
Every year I strip down my fan, give it a good clean, bagged it up & put away for the next heatwave.
