moles and dogy knees!!

scans show up the ligaments I believe not sure but would imagine you need see specialist first??

xrays will show the bones and any weakness in joints etc oh well wait and see!!

Lots of different reasons for knee pain apart from arthritis!

I'll be interested to see what your x ray says. My Dr says my left knee is a wreck but x ray just came back saying 'mild arthritic changes'. Right knee x ray said the same when I could hardly walk for 9 months. Think scans are the only things that really show whats going on.

When I read the thread title I thought you had tripped in a mole hole in the lawn and damaged your knee! It happens all the time in our garden....

Thanks Phoenix, it went well, had to wait half hour but Dr Patel is very kind, shame she leaving to have baby no 2 early Dec.

She suggested xray!! so hubby took me over to have it yesterday bit of a rush, but went well, our surgery puts 4.30 on card but xray dept actually close at 4 they still did it though a lovely helpful girl we got there around 4.20!

Mole got to keep eye on and moisturise like I am, she thinks may settle heat affected it not unduly concerned.

So went well thanks!!!

Check out that mole asap, celeb. I had a dark splodge on the back of my neck which my doctor sister spotted and said it probably wasn't - but might be - a melanoma; the GP said the same and so did the dermatologist who took a biopsy and very quickly contacted me when it was found to be a melanoma. Caught in time, seven years ago and still OK, thanks to eagle eyed sister. The outcome could have been so very different.

I completely agree with you re the xray, how ridiculous to say only have the xray if you want surgery! And we are always told that any changes in moles should be checked out!
