Apparently there is also an increase in diagnosis of Type 2 associated with a change in routine testing for diabetes ie checking glycosolated haemoglobin which is a much more sensitive measure than immediate blood sugar.

Many people with diabetes aren't obese, having just been diagnosed with pre diabetes I've tweaked my diet to try and prevent getting T2.

Unfortunately by cutting out desserts and some starches I have lost half a stone in weight which I really don't want to loose.

I guess it will take sometime and many trials to prove whether the video statements are true or not.

I think as adults though we have to take responsibility and try and do the best we can for our bodies and if that includes changes to our eating habits so be it.
