We decided this year to cut the wine and buy fruit juice to have with evening meal.hubby bought 4 varieties from a well known Supermarket not sure if can name and the Cranberry contains 34 percent of recommended sugar ie. 30.5 g per 250 mills that's a tall glass 3 glasses and your over daily intake had to check twice !! that's 130 calories per glass. Obviously won't buy again but wondered how many busy mums have the time to check .probably better to stick to wine ?

Recommended intake of fruit juice is no more than a small glass a day.
30g = 6 teaspoonfuls

Yes, fruit juice is high in sugar and calories, that's why on most diet plans unlimited fruit is allowed but fruit juices are restricted.

There's a move afoot to remove fruit juice from the government's 'five a day' mantra.

Flippin' heck! Is there anything left that we can eat or drink without having to peer shortsightedly at the bloomin' labels!

It was pointed out in that programme the other week that Galen mentioned; they say fructose is a major cause of fatty liver and it's hidden in lots of food and loads of it in drinks.

Sugar by any other name. Dentists not fans of fruit juices.
