Am I cracking up?

Was lazing in bed tidying up the bedroom when I thought I heard DH say something about taking the dog for a walk. This usually takes 30 minutes, so after having a shower and getting dressed I began to wonder vaguely where he'd got to. Possibly met a fellow dog walker and stopped to chat?
After 45 minutes was getting worried as he's getting very forgetful lately. After 60 minutes decided there was something very wrong so wandered outside to look down the road to see if I could spot him

The dog followed me outside

DOG?

Then I noticed the car was gone. Only then did I remember the he'd said he had his monthly band practice this morning hmm

Should I be worried?

Anya, they slipped down from my head so when I got fed up with them I tended to put them on a table in a cafe, restaurant, wherever. Then forgot them when I left.
Didn't like them anyway.

I wondered what was wrong with my eye then realised the lense of my sunglasses had dropped out.

I laughed out loud at that grin - I do apologise (the curse of a vivid imagination) blush

No! Not the Dame Edna look?
Can't you just wear them on top of your head like you do sunglasses when not needing them Rose?

No, Anya, you're very lucky!! I now have to find about £200 for a new pair, so I may have to buy one of those 'old lady chains' to hang them around my neck.

I'm beginning to think I'm missing out by not wearing glasses, sounds like it's a laugh a minute!

Teetime Mon 13-Oct-14 09:14:06

I put my glasses in my lap when I pulled into a car park promptly got out of the car and trod on them!!!

rockgran that conjured up a lovely picture!

jenn Sun 12-Oct-14 19:52:27

wondering why your helmet doesn't fit then remembering you had shoved your sunglasses up.

Brendawymms Sun 12-Oct-14 19:49:04

Washing your face with your glasses on and suddenly the lenses are covered in bubbles.

I wondered what was wrong with my eye then realised the lense of my sunglasses had dropped out. Not a good look.

Or, when I was away on holiday recently and squinting to try to read hotel names from a distance, only then realising that I had lost my very expensive reactolite varifocal spectacles.

kittylester Sun 12-Oct-14 18:32:27

I push mine up my nose to focus better then realise the reason I can't see is that I haven't even got them on!

Eloethan Sun 12-Oct-14 18:06:13

Done that too Tegan.

Tegan Sun 12-Oct-14 15:19:37

...or trying to put on a pair of glasses only to find I'm already wearing some blush....

Eloethan Sun 12-Oct-14 14:41:18

I'm always doing things like that - like searching for my glasses when I've got them on.

pompa he did (just about) notice I'd gone but the fact the dog was gone too gave it away hmm

I hadn't thoight of that! blush

Ana Sat 11-Oct-14 17:52:35

grin

pompa Sat 11-Oct-14 17:33:15

Anya, bit of risky thing to do, what if he is still in the shed when you get back and has not notice you absence.

Anya Sat 11-Oct-14 15:35:09

I love the pun Teetime barking indeed was how I felt. Made the mistake of telling Mr A and haven't heard the end of it yet, so I'm just sneaking off to walk the dog while he's down in his shed and I'm not telling him where I'm off to.

Ana Sat 11-Oct-14 13:49:43

Anya, he probably said 'the dog needs taking for a walk...' grin

Teetime Sat 11-Oct-14 13:45:10

ours to! Mr Teetime fine physical specimen though he is (see other thread) is completely barking.

pompa Sat 11-Oct-14 13:09:57
