Your friend can also ask them to reassess her care needs, after all, things change and perhaps they need to update the care plan. Teetime makes a good point about seeing the shift reports to check that care has been given according to the plan.

It very much depends on their assessment of her needs and individual care plan they have for her. I would start with asking to see her main care and her care plan and the daily shift reports on the care she has been given and go from there.

A dear Friends mother is in a residential care unit suffering with advanced dementia and recovering from a stroke, and she has noticed that the hygiene standards are less than she would expect. she has been actually using Nilaqua waterless bathing products (www.norinse.co.uk) to bathe her in her chair. Its so upsetting seeing a lady who has always cared so deeply about her appearance looking anything less than immaculate. How often should they bathe someone with such high support needs?
