I hope you don't have to wait to long HildajenniJ. Poor Chap and Poor family too. It's such a selfish disease.

This sounds very like my Dad. He has started to keep very peculiar hours, up at all times of the night. It is just luck that he has not left the house as he has been seen on the doorstep in the middle of the night.
My sisters have been to look round a very good local Residential home and have put his name on the waiting list. There are only two ladies ahead of him, so hopefully we won't have to wait too long.
He has a double whammy, Alzheimers and Vascular dementia.
It is very difficult watching him deteriorate. He was such a kind Dad, but now he can be very sharp and angry.

My sentiments exactly, It Related so strongly to what my friend is going through. Such a hard thing to do.

Nothing new there if you care for someone living with dementia of any kind. If it educates one person then it can only be a good thing.
