Oh!
We lived there for over twenty years before moving down here, and it is only by comparison that I realise that MM was struggling. I had all my breast cancer work there - diagnosis and operation (chemo and radiotherapy at Maidstone in those days) and they were superb.
But the everyday stuff - crowded, busy clinics with exhausted staff. It is a densely populated area, though. Again, it is by comparison that I realise how frenetic is was.
Yesterday, I went to a post op appointment at North Devon Hospital, where I have had my recent run of operations. The appointment was at 4.15; I arrived at 4.10, was seen immediately, treated with great care, had a stitch in the cornea removed and was back on the road at 4.35, discharged. Brilliant.
Is there a link, nina?
