Second breast biopsy needed is this normal procedure

Thank you both I feel too that it is only an extra safe precaution and indeed we are half way to good news. Sometimes it seems that ' some people' have all the bad luck and not wishing to dwell she seems to fall into this category but having said that I encourage her to count her blessings and we have as a family so very much to be thankful for. Just needed a little reassurance so thank you and will update , she has the second test tomorrow then results in a week.

chloe no wonder you are worried. But it sounds as if she has a thorough and careful doctor who is making absolutely sure that the lump is benign. What more could you ask for than for her to be in good hands.

A colleague of mine had this and indeed it confirmed that the lump was benign.

Of course you are worried, that is absolutely normal. But given that the first go was benign I would think your daughter is at least half way to good news.
I am a breast cancer survivor, and there was no question with the biopsy, so with luck all will be well.
