hip replacement

I had a hip replacement in 2006 and it's been a great success. But recently I've had some pain around the joint, which lasts about an hour and then goes. Feels as if something has slipped out of place. I walk every day and am very active, so muscle tone there must be quite good.
I'm going to have to get it checked out, but wondered if anyone else has had problems after several years?

TriciaF I had a THR about 9yrs ago and although I don't really get pain my hip does 'clunk' now and then and also feels like its 'clunking' back into place when I do a particular bending motion... I have just accepted it as part of the process of an aging THR, unless its causing me problems or deteriorates till I am in pain I'm going to leave well alone.. I guess it can't hurt to get yours checked out.. I was told mine should last me 15/20yrs we shall see ..

My knee - replaced last April, sometimes hurts or clicks a bit. But it is probably suffering from the problem with the opposite hip putting strain on it?

I think you should get this checked out. As others have said, it's probably nothing but go and make sure

Thanks for the replies - I'll mention it when I go tomorrow.
