Nansypansy

My you are going through it. I am pleased your doctor gave you an answer so quickly, very reassuring.

Fingers crossed tonight will be more comfortable for you. flowers

Hope you have a better night tonight! moonmoon

That's good - glad you were able to get an appointment and some reassurance. I hope you have a more restful night tonight.

Sleep well tonight

That's good news, nansy. smile

Good to hear you're fine nansy, take care x

Thanks so much for your concern my Gransnet friends. I did go to the drs. and he examined me thoroughly but couldn't find anything amiss. Lungs clear, no evidence of PE etc. there's a slight possibility it was an added side effect of BCG bladder cancer immunotherapy treatment I had at the end of last week. However I am feeling much better now thank goodness - middle of the night fears aren't nice when you're on your own.

What news nansy? Hope things have eased a bit -it always seems worse at night whatever the problem, doesn't it?

Mishap Mon 19-Jan-15 10:26:37

Lots of things it could be, some very simple, some needing treatment. Off to the docs for you I think.

Did you consult 111 in the night? Were they helpful?

harrigran Mon 19-Jan-15 10:14:42

I had same type of pain but in the left side, saw GP and was referred immediately for an x-ray as GP had heard crackles in the base of the lung. Always sensible to get it checked out, as we get older we don't bounce back so quickly.

Marelli Mon 19-Jan-15 08:32:29

Let us know how things go today, Nansy? Please don't ignore the pain, even if it subsides a bit? Make GP appointment this morning, and if you can't get one, phone 111 for advice?

Charleygirl Mon 19-Jan-15 07:38:45

I cannot and do not want to diagnose on line but you should see a doctor.

vampirequeen Mon 19-Jan-15 06:34:28

Definitely see a doctor. Could be one of so many things you must get checked over.

Falconbird Mon 19-Jan-15 06:31:10

Yes I think it would be a good idea to try 111. They do refer you to a nurse and if they recommend that you see a doc it means you are more likely to get an appointment with your GP.

My heart goes out to you Nansy. I'm learning to live on my own after 44 years of marriage - and it sure ain't easy.

Let us know how you get on.

loopylou Mon 19-Jan-15 05:50:03

Definitely go and see your GP, I had similar pain and it was pleurisy. Better to check it out.

FarNorth Mon 19-Jan-15 02:39:48

That sounds a bit worrying, Nansypansy. I don't have any medical knowledge, so can't advise but wonder if it'd be an idea to phone 111 for advice.
If you don't do that, definitely get a GP appointment asap.

It's the middle of the night and I'm feeling worried about myself. I live on my own and since Friday its hurt on my right side (back) to breathe deeply, and the pain radiates to my right shoulder. I can't make up my mind whether to wait until the morning and get a drs. appointment or take more drastic action.
