Thank you everyone. You are all so lovely. We are back home now (the hospital is only five minutes away) and we have had the best possible news. The cancer (it is prostate cancer) is in remission and his PSA levels are down from 19.5 to 0.65. He now just needs a blood test every 6 months and to continue with his hormone treatment for two years but they are not expecting further problems. I have to confess to bursting into tears in the doctor's office. This has been going on since last March and this was our 50th hospital visit. Thank you all again. High praise here for the NHS.
Here we are waiting to go to the hospital to find out if the radiotherapy has worked on DH's cancer. His appointment is 3.45 and to say the day is dragging would be an understatement. I just want to go, but I don't want to go either.
