Out of interest Galen is that when you eat eggs in every form or are you ok if they are in, say, baked goods. OH in his late 40s suddenly developed a reaction to eggs - fine if baked in something but scrambled or fried or boiled led to severe abdominal pain. This went on for ages then seemed to get better and now comes and goes

Galen am I right in thinking that people with egg allergies shouldn't have the flu jab, or have I got confuddled?

A friend of mine suffers from the vomiting thing too, Galen Not sure if she has tried just eating the whites.

Egg yolks make me vomit with severe abdominal pain and violent diarrhoea. I'm ok with the whites.

I occasionally get a reaction to eggs that takes the form of sort of "blisters" on my lips which go away after about an hour. This has sometimes happened with mayonnaise when eating out.

I only buy free range eggs, sometimes it happens, most of the time it doesn't.

My own theory is that it is a mild reaction to some ingredient in the food given to the hens.

I read on this site a message from someone who had a reaction to eggs - and it was like the one I've just discovered after being plagued with it since 2013.
The symptoms then were extremely sore lips with an eczma, flackey type rash all around the edges and swelling - having had eczma before I was resigned to it being that - I was given Caneston Cream which stopped it.

A few months ago I developed big weals on my mid-rif and since small patches of itchy spots over my upper body - getting more itchey at intervals and the sore lips have returned. I've been eating eggs daily for lunch and a nightime snack. Since yesterday I've stopped eating any eggs and my lips are not swollen or sore and I'm much less itchey.

I have to be careful anyway with - histomine rich foods such as cheese and many other things plus - sugar and refined carbs which give me - artharitic type symtoms.

I am curious about someone else saying they have had a similar reaction to eggs - as there are few real co-incidents in life, I wonder if it's something in battery, intensely farmed eggs and wether it occurs in real free range ones.

Allergy is difficult to deal with - as it can be virtually impossible to locate what is causing it at any given time and very worrying.
