Has anyone found a tablet that works. Co-codamol doesn't work. If I take the 2 tablets that I should they knock me out. And one doesn't do anything.
I'm under a chiropractor but I still need something between visits.

Nerve pain is always tricky petra, I take ibuprofen and paracetamol when mine flares up and a hot water bottle alternating with an ice pack, but it's not always effective.
I find sitting down and pulling the kee up towards my chest sometimes helps.
I do hope it clears up soon for you x

Bag frozen peas , at night I use cold rub cream and a tens machine, sleep with pillow between knees helps too

I have used a tens machine in the past for this - also GP might prescribe you some valium (or equivalent) as it is not just the nerve pain, but also the muscles around going into spasm and this will relax the muscles.

Co-codamol doesn't work for me either as I can't tolerate strong painkillers.
I alternate paracetamol with ibuprofen like loopylou and I find yoga exercises in the morning help as well.

I have a wheat bag I can pop in the microwave for three mins and that helps when I sit down to watch telly. I also use a firm cushion I can ram in the small of my back as slumping not a good idea.

Hope you feel better soon.

I use stick-on heat pads, which help, also alternate paracetemol and ibuprofen. It's something that comes on without warning; once when I bent down to fasten a shoe, once when I was reaching for something in the supermarket and once when I was sitting on a seat admiring a seaside view. Lots of other less memorable times too.

I blame DD who as a toddler would not be put down and clung on, sitting on one hip even whilst I cooked! My back has never been the same since.

Hope it eases soon petra. flowers

Husband has something similar (cruralgia, from a nerve going off the sciatic nerve.) Our doctor referred him to a rheumatologist who gave him steroid injections, and a tablet called Lyrica, which calms the nervous system.
He's better now, but cut down on the tablets because they made him feel funny.

Reflexology. Not a tablet, but worked for me.
