Does anybody have any experience of this condition? Have just been diagnosed. Have been told I may need a corneal graft eventually. Scary!

I have never heard of this, but wanted to wish you well with your treatment.

I have also been diagnosed with this condition- its full name is Fuchs Endothelial Dystrophy.

I have had it for a few years now and apart from some pain at night and blurred eyes for about 30 minutes in the morning, I am hoping that because it takes around 15 -20 years to manifest itself, I may see it out! I also have Macular disease which is 20 times worse. PM me if you want.

Hi, supermum48. Have you tried googling this? I have just done so and there are quite a few websites providing information. I have only glanced at it but I did notice that should a corneal graft become necessary, it is likely to be extremely successful. The operation is often done at the same time as removal of cataracts.

Thanks NotTooOld. I have googled it. Mainly they are not UK sites, and I wondered if anybody had personal experience in this country and any advice.thanks for taking the trouble to look.
