I think we do lose padding down there. It could be muscle loss. But you are probably not old enough.

Galen doesn't feel like my Coccyx, it's definitely painful only on the left side

It might be a bit of help if you explained about the 'donor bone' relevance, phoenix? smile

tanith thanks for the response, but this is very much to the left, and quite definitely NOT the hip.

(Might sound odd, but at the age of 15, when I had to decide from which hip the donor bone was to be taken, I chose the left one.)

Pretty uncomfortable at the the mo., but not over 4.5 on the scale! grin

The end of your spine! Can get broken in a fall. Can be very painful.

Are you getting thin? Is your padding becoming less? Prob just an age thing.

Are we talking about your Coxxix Phoenix? If so did you hurt it somehow?
I know how painful mine was after a fall, you have my sympathy.

Evening all,

For about the 3 weeks or so I have been experiencing pain in what (due to lack of other words) I can only describe as my "seat bone"

Although probably not a life threatening thing, it does jolly well feel pretty uncomfortable!
