New mole on little finger....

Won't do any harm to pop along to the docs. I had one growing on my forearm, the doc sent me to the skin clinic, he took one look and said " it's a wart" and froze it off. Now no sign of it.

I agree. If it's new, it's worth getting it checked out.

Definitely go to doctor.
If it is anything like my doctors surgery, they wont have a clue. And will send you to a specialist.
Even the specialist often doesnt know, so get it sampled to find out for sure.
That is my advice with all these types of things. Partly through family experience.

I wouldn't bother going to the doc with hat. Surely it's an age thing. Don't they call them "grave spots".

Sounds like what appeared on the tip of my finger. It turned out to be a blood blister - I must have nipped it without even noticing. I did let the doctor have a look at it and he said I'd done the right thing. It dried up enough for me to peel it off in about 5 weeks.

Get it tested, you can't be too careful with moles, especially if they appear suddenly and start to grow.
I had a tiny one on my forearm which was slowly increasing in size. Got it checked and it was pre-cancerous. Had it removed pdq.

Oh get it checked mishap, always better to be safe than sorry. But then I would say that, because my DH had a malignant melanoma several years ago, luckily successfully treated and no sign of anything since. As a consequence, though, we are both very 'mole aware'.

It's not an age spot - much darker.

Personally I would photograph it, photograph it again in a week's time and if there's any difference see your doctor.
I think brown marks and spots commonly occur in later life, but it's when they change rapidly that you need to get worried.

Set your mind at rest and go to your GP. When I had one, the doc said she didn't think it was, but sent me to a dermatologist; the dermatologist said she didn't think it was, but sent a skin sample to the lab. And it was a melanoma which was efficiently dealt with before it spread and got deeper. So if I had a suspect 'mole' or changed pigmentation I would see the GP at once.

Yesterday I had a checkup in Glasgow Royal Infirmary after having a cancerous growth removed from my lip 6 weeks ago, I have fortunately been given the all clear. It started off tiny but I ignored it. Its so much better to be safe than sorry, I now find myself telling every one I know to get things checked out, it only takes a minute to ask the doctor to get peace of mind
